CORDELE — A local civic club will be sponsoring a bake sale this weekend in order to raise funds for a local cancer patient.
The Crisp County Lions Club invites the public to come out and get their “SWEET TOOTH” fixed at Cordele Square (in front of Harvey’s Supermarket) on Saturday, September 3 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The club will have a variety of sweet treats for sale including cookies, cakes, brownies and fresh cotton candy. Lion Timmy will also be there to greet the kiddies.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to assist Billy “Poky” Gee by helping defray the costs of cancer treatments. Anyone who is interested can donate items to be sold on Saturday or make a donation by contacting Lion Elonia Wolking at (229) 406-1182 or Nikki McVeigh at (478) 494-1171.
