Rotary Club and JROTC sponsor local blood drives

CORDELE — Citizens in Crisp County will have two opportunities to donate blood next week as two organizations are sponsoring drives next week. The first of those will be hosted by the Cordele Rotary Club and Crisp County High School “Interact Club” with the Red Cross on Tuesday, September 13.

The event will be held at the Cordele Community Clubhouse, located at 108 15th Avenue. All donors will be entered for a chance to win one of two $25 gift cards. To help speed up the donating process, donors can make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or going online to redcrossblood.org and using sponsor code: corcomm.

You can also save up to 15 minutes time when you donate blood by using RapidPass. For more information visit www.redcrossblood.org/RapidPass. You can also download the donor app at the Red Cross website. Take a moment a donate the gift of life.

Then on Friday, September 16 Oneblood will be at Crisp County High School where the JROTC program will be hosting a blood drive. Katelyn Bridges, who is a freshman representative of the JROTC says it is their goal to get as many citizens as possible to come out and donate. That event will be held at the JROTC building in back of CCHS from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
