Three Vehicle Crash w/Multiple Injuries

Monday around the dusk hour saw three vehicles collide causing multiple injuries.

Georgia State Patrol Commander Jon Posey reported to the Cordele Dispatch that at approximately 6:32 p.m., February 13, a Toyota Tacoma traveling east on Old Hatley Road and driven by Austin Padgett, age 21, of Cordele ran a Stop sign at the GA. Hwy. 90/Old Hatley Road intersection and struck a Dodge Ram 1500 traveling north on Hwy. 90 driven by Jordan Roberts, age 26, of Cordele.  The collision forced the Dodge Ram into the path of a Mazda CX-7 driven by Sara Hirsch, age 33, of Cordele, who also carried a passenger, Sharon Hirsch, age 59.

All four people sustained multiple injuries and were transported to Crisp Regional Hospital.

Austin Padgett, driver of the Toyota, was found at fault and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
