Lauren Warbington Fletcher has joined the law firm of Lawson & Reid, LLC, in Cordele as an associate.

Fletcher earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2013, graduating cum laude.  During law school, Fletcher served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.  A “Double Dawg,” she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Georgia in 2010, graduating summa cum laude. A graduate of the Class of 2006, Fletcher attended Fullington Academy in Pinehurst.

Fletcher formerly worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Cordele Judicial Circuit, primarily prosecuting cases involving crimes against children and crimes committed in Dooly County, for the past three and one-half years.

At Lawson and Reid, Fletcher will have a general practice and will handle both litigation and transactional matters. She is excited about practicing law in a different capacity and continuing to serve the area she calls home.

Fletcher is happily married to James Michael Fletcher, Jr., and they reside in Pinehurst, along with their dog, George.  Fletcher is the daughter of Teel and Jeanie Warbington of Vienna, and the granddaughter of James and Betty Warbington of Vienna, Joann Toney of Winder, and the late Virlyn Toney of Winder. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with her family and friends.
