The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Governors Office of Highway Safety and Rochelle Police department to bring an impaired driving course to Wilcox County High School.  The course was conducted by the G.O.H.S.  Much effort was placed on this course to be presented before the WCHS prom to teach students of the dangers of impaired driving.  Law Enforcement Officers from Byron PD, Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Rochelle P.D., and Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the young people who participated and all seniors and juniors at the high school were reached.  Sheriff Rodgers thanks the Governors Office of Highway Safety and Wilcox County High School for allowing them to bring the program to the school. Their prayers are that no students will ever try to drive impaired.
