Cordele Police Department reports

12.18.17

Cordele Police responded to a call at 2:59 a.m. from 1212 Blackshear Rd. in reference to Entering Auto. Upon police arrival, complainants Craig Jackson and Sterling Dent from apartments B and E stated that their vehicles had been entered. The case is still under investigation at this time.

Cordele Police responded to an Entering Auto report at 6 a.m. located at 511 E 7th Ave. Police were advised that the complainant Dakeria Paul had seen the suspects on the porch next to the incident location. Communications advised that one of the suspects was wearing a grey hoodie and the other was wearing a black and red hoodie. Upon police arrival, police noticed two suspects matching the description given. The suspects ran away on foot from police.

At 9:35 a.m., Cordele Police responded to a call in reference to found property at 105 E 9th Ave.

At 12:34 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a call from 617 W 20th Ave in reference to a reported criminal trespass. Mabry Kennedy reported that a person(s) unknown to him had entered into a residence his family owns by breaking a window pane out of a rear exterior door. No items were missing from within the residence, but the offender(s)had bled heavily through the interior of the residence.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1007 Tulip St. in reference to an entering auto that occurred at around 1:58 a.m. that morning. Possible juvenile suspects are already in custody from other entering autos discovered earlier this date.

At 4:15 p.m., Cordele Police executed a city probation violation warrant on Alexia Coley at 405 W Oak Ave., at which time she was placed under arrest. Coley was transported to Cordele Municipal Court where she was sentenced and transported to the Crisp County LEC.

At about 9:41 a.m., complainant, Tameka Harvey reported a theft to Cordele Police.

At 4:27 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 205 W 24th Ave., in reference to a reported burglary.

At 5:36 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 512 W Oak Ave., in reference to reported accidental damage.

At 1:20 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 701 N 1st St. in reference to a 13-year-old male juvenile beating up the complainant’s 10-year-old juvenile.

At 4:00 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Wal-mart located at 1215 E 16th Ave., where loss prevention had a juvenile detained in the lobby area of the General Merchandise side for shoplifting.

At 6:19 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Wal-Mart at 1215 E 16th Ave., in reference to a reported theft.

At 9:33 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1401 Drayton Rd. in reference to a disturbance. The caller stated that her husband had a knife and was threatening to use it against her and people within the residence. The matter has been investigated and is still open for further investigation.

At 4:51 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a dispatched call to 608 S 13th St in reference to terroristic threats from one juvenile toward another.

At 8:31 a.m., Cordele Police responded to a call from an employee of Cordele Water Department regarding people jumping the fence at the well and stealing pecans.

At 2:27 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a dispatched call of a reckless driver on 16th Ave. headed east from Norboard. The officer made contact with the suspect, Dustin Owens. Owens did not have a license on him, and after running his name, it was found that Owens license was suspended. Owens was suspended for driving with a suspended license.

At 8:36 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 410 S 8th St in reference to a disturbance.

12.24.17

At 3:04 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 405 W 20th Ave., in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Police found a female outside of her residence after her boyfriend, Willie Pickens Jr., had forced her out and locked the door. Pickens was questioned and admitted to pushing her outside. Pickens was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.

At 5:14 a.m., Cordele Police observed a red Chevrolet Impala failing to maintain lane in the 900 block of S 15th St. The officer initiated a traffic stop and determined that the driver, Frederick McKinley, was an unlicensed driver. McKinley was transported to the Crisp County Detention Center and issued citations for driving while unlicensed and failure to maintain lane.

At 10:33, Cordele Police responded to a dispatched call at 609 E 23rd Ave.

At 11:08 a.m., Cordele Police were patrolling in the 1400 Block of E 20th Ave., when they observed a suspicious male walking. After making contact with the subject, Ricardo Lozano, it was determined that he was wanted out of Tifton, GA. While transporting the suspect to Crisp County LEC he attempted to conceal illegal drugs in the back of the patrol unit. He was booked on local VGCSA charges.

At 2:57 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Crisp County Power at 202 S 7th Street in reference to a reported Criminal Trespass.

At 4:57 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Wal-mart at 1215 E 16th Ave. in reference to shoplifting. Joseph Hudgins was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Jail.

At 8:03 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 301 W 21at Ave. in reference to a Burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the homeowner, who stated she had been absent from the residence all day. Upon returning home she found multiple items that she did not own on her kitchen table and she did not know how they had gotten there nor who they belonged to.

At 12:14 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 308 W 17th Ave. in reference to a theft.

At 2:07 a.m., Cordele Police observed a vehicle pull off of East 8th into the parking lot of a closed business. The officer observed a male and female switch drivers and approached the vehicle due to the location and time of morning. It was determined that the male subject was driving because the female, Raven Roberts did not have a license. The suspect admitted to using cocaine on Christmas Eve and that It was likely still in her system. She was transported to the ER, and was issued a citation and was released.

At 10:49 a.m., Cordele Police were dispatched to 1109 South 15th Street in reference to a Disturbance.

At 8:12 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 405 E 24th Ave in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that someone entered the home and took a gun.

At 10:27 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1107 N 11th St. in reference to a disturbance.

At 1:38 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 1302 S 5th St. in reference to a male subject that had an injury to his eye. Upon arrival, Police spoke with the subject about another subject assaulting and robbing him.

At 11:15. a.m., an officer was dispatched to 812 W 22nd Ave. for a criminal trespass. Upon arrival, a subject stated that someone threw eggs on his vehicles the night before at approximately 9:30. The subject stated he had no idea who was responsible.

At 12:39 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at 402 20th Ave E.

At 2:51 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of 1107 10th St S for a disturbance.

At 6:56 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1609 E 16th Ave. in reference to a disturbance.

At 7:36 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 409 West 7th Ave in reference to a disturbance. The subject reported that her boyfriend, Tremaine Childs, had argued with her and left the residence with two cellular phones that belonged to her after she threatened to call 911 on him. An officer arrived and investigated the incident. Upon the officer’s departure, Childs returned to the residence and assaulted the subject in front of her three young children.

At 9:44 a.m., Cordele Police responded to Sav a Lot in reference to a theft by shoplifting case. Video surveillance was not clear enough to identify the subject.

At 1:30 p.m., an officer responded to 805 N 15th St. in reference to a complaint of criminal trespass.

At 8:55 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Sonic Drive Thru in reference to a disturbance.

12.28.17

At 8:12 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 602 Blackshear Rd. for a Security Inspection. The subject stated that someone was at her front door and was kicking it. The officer observed visible damage to the door but no suspect was known.

At 10:00 a.m., Cordele Police were flagged down on W 11th St. near W 16th Ave. in reference to an assault that had just occurred at 501 W 16th Ave., Quick Mart. The victim, Tramine Walker, pointed out the suspect, Quinton Peacock, who had crossed the street to G&N Food Mart where the officers made contact and placed the suspect under arrest.

At 10:53 a.m., a patrolling officer observed a young male (approx. 6 years old) rubbing something against the building of 409 W 6th Ave.

At 11:53 a.m., Cordele Police responded to Burger King at 1109 E 16th Ave. in reference to a reported fraud.

At 12:20 p.m., an officer responded to 1215 E 16th Ave., Wal-mart, in reference to a retail theft.

At 6:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 809 Westtown Ave. to a disturbance call.

At 9:27 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 49 Rosewood in reference to a disturbance.

At 10:08 p.m., a patrolling officer observed a maroon Nissan Altima driven by Castevia Crawford travelling one West 24th Ave not wearing a seatbelt. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and the subject stated he did not have his license on him. It was then determined that Crawford had a suspended license. He was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Jail without incident.

At 4:47 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 202 W 28th Ave. in reference to a stolen gun.

12.31.17

At 12:40 a.m., Cordele Police responded to a dispatched call of a robbery at 600 Block of E 8th Ave. Investigation revealed that the victim was approached by five subjects before he was struck by a stick. His wallet was then taken.

At 9:46 a.m., an officer responded to 1116 Mcclendon Ct in reference to a Theft.

At 12:05 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a follow up of a previous case at 410 N 4th St., in reference to an assault.
