Crisp Regional withdraws appeal for Lee County Medical Center

Cordele, GA-Crisp Regional announced today it has withdrawn its appeal of the 2017 decision of the Georgia Department of Community Health to grant Lee County Medical Center (LCMC) a Certificate of Need to establish a short-stay general hospital in Lee County. Crisp Regional respects the interests of all citizens to access quality healthcare and we are pleased that the matter has been favorably concluded for the benefit of those who reside in our respective communities. The Crisp Regional Hospital Board wanted to do what was best for our community to ensure both communities continue to receive high quality, cost efficient, and financially accessible health care.

Crisp Regional generated more than $173,450,818 in revenue for the local and state economy. During the same time period, Crisp Regional provided $4,438,239 in uncompensated care while sustaining more than 2,208 full-time jobs throughout Crisp, Dooly, and Wilcox Counties.
