Dooly County 47  Hawkinsville 28

The Dooly County High School football team picked up their second win in a row by defeating region opponents the Hawkinsville High School Red Devils by a score of 47-28 on Friday night in Vienna.

Edgerrin Almond completed eight passes out of 15 attempts for 191 yards and three touchdowns on the night for the Bobcats.

Shamon Zanders caught three passes for 103 yards and two of Almond’s touchdown passes, while Eric Ivory had four receptions for 89 yards and one score.

Malik Mcghee ran the ball seven times for the Bobcats on the night to post a total of 96 yards and one touchdown. Alsaquan Adams carried the ball 14 times for 81 yards and one score for Dooly in the contest, while also catching one pass for six yards.

Zepha Hill, Dy’Quan Robinson, and TyCorrian Sheffield also made contributions for Dooly on the night.

The Bobcats are now 2-4 on the season and will be looking for their third win in a row when they play region opponent Crawford County (1-5) next Friday night in Roberta.

Aucilla Christian (FL) 42  Fullington Academy 0

The Fullington Academy Trojans fell to 1-7 so far on the season after dropping their home game against the Aucilla Christian Warriors (7-0) of Monticello, Florida on Friday night by a final score of 42-0.

The Trojans will play a road region game against the John Hancock Academy Rebels (1-5) in Sparta on Friday night.

Crisp County and Wilcox County both had the week off.
