On December 15, 2019, at approximately 8:30 pm, we received information that a person using an anonymous Instagram account threatened to shoot people at school on Monday, December 16th.  While this may not be a credible threat, Dooly County Law Enforcement and the Dooly County School System take any and all threats very seriously.   We are actively investigating this claim, and additional security precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff on Monday.  We will have classes this week.

The purpose of this communication is to let our families and staff know that we will always take threats seriously and will prosecute any alleged perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.  Also, we encourage families to download the Dooly County Schools App so that you can receive timely alerts when issues or events occur.
