Staff Reports

We have received reports of citizens receiving 📱📞☎️unsolicited phone calls where the individual identifies as an employee with ”Crisp County Sheriff’s Department,” stating there is a warrant for contempt of court. The scammers are requesting monetary payment or threatening citizens with arrest warrants. Citizens even report the scammer using the following email address 🖥📧📨“CrispCoSheriffDept.gov.Doj@mail.com” This is NOT a legitimate Crisp County Sheriff’s Office email address.
Crisp County Sheriff’s Office will never ask for payment over the phone, inform individuals of a warrant over the phone, or email individuals regarding a warrant or any false claims. THIS IS A SCAM!
There are many Government Impersonation Scams that scammers use to try to get money. NEVER share your social security number, debit card number, or credit card number over the phone! Please share this information with your loved ones; scammers often try to take advantage of vulnerable members of our community. #ScamAlert #scammers
